Finally...an update!

I know...I know! I've been away and not updating in a while. I've been busy with school starting and going back to work. I've also been going through some things lately that I'm not gonna get into today!

So here's what I've been up to lately in the knitting/sewing world!

I made these Waldorf Dolls that my mom ordered. When I was a little girl, my mom's best friend, Rachel, made a few dolls for me. Now that Rachel has 2 grandchildren, my mom decided to commission me to make a few dolls for her granddaughters. I was very happy I had my new sewing machine! I am thinking of opening an etsy shop in a few months to sell Waldorf Steiner dolls....what do you think?

I also made my Pheasant Run Socks from my Loopy Ewe sock club shipment for fall. I am in love with the Claudia Handpainted yarn. I already have 2 other colors in my stash (check it out on Ravelry....id is Purlygirl75). I love these socks and I might make another pair with the same pattern....they were a quick knit!

I bought some Malabrigo Laceweight....I'm thinking of using it for a smaller/thinner Clapotis.

And I got my 1st package from my Secret Pal 11! It's Union Center Knits Whatnot Sock yarn in Candy! Pink and Green! How perfect! It was sent directly from Joni (the dyer) and she enclosed a little card and a button and a stitch marker! Thanks pal! I love it!

In other news, John celebrated birthday number 37 yesterday (2 of his friends came over to play Wii and eat Carvel ice cream cake). We will be celebrating Wedding Anniversay number 9 on Wednesday! It seems like time has flown!

We bought a new George Foreman Grill the other day. We also ordered a laptop computer which should arrive in about a week....then I will be able to post more on this blog and ravelry and chat more on Skype!

To my penpal Amanda! I have not forgotten you! A letter will be on its way to you this week, I swear!!!!

Your dolls are absolutely gorgeous Kelly!! I love dolls so much - I wish I was a better seamstress so I could make some!

Your socks are excellent too.

I hope everything is okay. I will look forward to getting a letter. Yay!
