Sorry I haven't been around in a while. I've been sick with the Flu and busy as well. I have finished my first sock for Sock Madness and am done with the cuff of #2. I doubt I will make it to the next round...but I'll be cheering on my team!

Here is a picture of my finished Chameleon Scarf. I used Noro Taiyo and I love it!

A few weeks ago we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday at school. I will post my Dr. Seuss-inspired poem and drawings at a later date. We all had to wear crazy socks and a crazy hat. Here is John modeling the hat I whipped up.

Last weekend, we went to the Bay Area Renaissance Festival. We hadn't been for a few years, but not much had changed. It was Sign Language Day, so there were supposed to be interpreters. Only 3 shows were scheduled for interpreting and the interpreter didn't even make it to the show we went to which was labeled as being interpreted. We also got a very under-done bread bowl with broccoli cheddar soups that tasted like melted nacho cheese poured over broccoli. We did see some interesting sights though. We saw animals at the petting zoo.

We saw a Giant Papier-Mache man.

It was also Celtic weekend and they had Scottish Games being played in the main arena. To my surprise, I looked across the field and spotted Santa Claus! He vacations in Florida! Who knew?

Anyway, I will be back later this week with more posting. But in the meantime, here is a picture of Dottie sticking her tongue out through the pen bars.
