Early Voting

Today was the last day for early voting, so Sandy, John and I decided to go. The hours were 7am-7pm. We were going to leave my house at 6:30am since the library is so close, but Sandy's alarm didn't go off. We arrived at about 7:50am and were greeted by this sight:

Early Voting Line 11/1/08

The line for voting went off to a separate parking lot and had more twists and turns than a ride at Busch Gardens. I did see some familiar faces in the crowd as we worked our way around. Sandy and I were knitting, John played his PSP. I cast on a sock and was almost to the heel by the time we got into the building. Lucky for us, it was a cool, breezy morning.

Four hours later, we were finally done and our votes had been cast!

I can't quite imagine the 4 hour lines. Thank goodness for knitting and good weather. I sent my absentee ballot in last week...that's my kind of voting!
